About Me

Born and raised in California, but moved to Indiana in 2005. I worked in social work for over 8 years and during that time I wanted to pursue more of a lower energy hobby.

I love nature and the outdoors so naturally, I found myself curious about plants.

It started with a tiny cactus that I named Walter.

Prior to “Walter”, I killed every plant I ever owned.

And through many years of trial and error along with researching on my own time, I found the passion for plants. I started sharing my own tips and tricks on social media and that’s where “Plants with Krystal” was created. I wanted to bring a twist to educational plant videos and bring entertainment along with it.

From there, “Drown that hoe” started.

It served as a reminder to water your plants thoroughly when it is time to water. My goal is to make plant care understandable and less intimidating because everyone has the ability to be a plant person…

It just takes a bit of practice.
